The piece states that ‘the vast swimming pool is one of the loveliest in all of Sri Lanka, and the ideal spot for birdwatching (dozens of different species alight in the garden)’. The feature also notes the ‘expansive grounds that are also inhabited by wild monkeys, peacocks and the occasional elephant’.
