There’s more to Uga Ulagalla than the view from your hotel room. Wake up as the sun rises to the sweet chorus of the birds and take a guided walk around the estate and beyond.

This leisurely 60-minute nature walk in Anuradhapura includes a walk along the banks of Wannemaduwa Tank, a traditional irrigation reservoir designed and built over 2,000 years ago.

Early morning is the best time to catch a glimpse of some of the wildlife and 100-plus species of birds that inhabit the neighbourhood. Return for breakfast with an appetite aroused by some light exercise.
